Bajaur: In the treasury area of Damadola, Mamond Tehsil, Bajaur district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a bomb explosion occurred, resulting in the death of Maulana Abdul Salam’s father, Sitar Khan, while three individuals were injured.
According to police officials, Sitar Khan, the father of Abdul Salam, was returning after attending the funeral prayer with his companions when he was targeted.
DSP Sitar Khan stated that Sitar Khan had been targeted with gunfire for some time before, fortunately surviving the previous attempt on his life.
Police revealed that in the explosion, Sitar Khan’s three companions, Niaz, Ibrahim, and Mandro Haji, sustained injuries and were transferred to the hospital at Khar for medical assistance. Police have initiated an investigation into the incident after collecting evidence from the crime scene.
Previously, in the same area of Khwar in Bajaur, a bomb explosion targeted a vehicle, resulting in the death of one person. The blast completely destroyed the vehicle, and eyewitnesses reported that the explosion was so powerful that the vehicle’s wreckage was scattered.
Police have commenced investigations into the incident of the explosion in the Pashto-speaking area of Khwar in Bajaur.
