Former English Cricketer David Lloyd Supports Babar Azam’s Decision to Resign as Captain

Former English cricketer David Lloyd has also endorsed Babar Azam’s decision to step down as captain. In an interview with an international journalist, the former cricketer stated that captaining the Pakistan cricket team is no easy challenge. While managing the team on the field is straightforward, dealing with political aspects can be challenging.

David Lloyd acknowledged Babar Azam as one of the world’s great players and advised him to focus on his batting. In the last few days, Babar Azam resigned from the captaincy in all formats due to the national team’s underwhelming performance in the ICC T20 World Cup. Following the former captain’s resignation, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) appointed Shaan Masood as the Test captain and handed over the T20 captaincy to Shoaib Malik.
