PCB Issues Limited NOCs for Fast Bowlers Haris Rauf, Zaman Khan, and Spinner Osamah Mir for Big Bash League

Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has granted Restricted No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to fast bowlers Haris Rauf, Zaman Khan, and spinner Osamah Mir for participation in the Big Bash League (BBL).

The three cricketers are allowed to participate in limited matches from December 7th to December 28th, as opposed to the entire event. PCB has issued an NOC for five matches each for Haris Rauf and Osamah Mir, while Zaman Khan has been granted permission for four matches.

According to the Pakistan Cricket Board, the decision to issue limited NOCs was made by the PCB to reduce the workload on players and consider their future schedules. In the Big Bash League, Haris Rauf and Osamah Mir represent the Melbourne Stars, while Zaman Khan is part of the Sydney Thunder.

The 13th edition of the Big Bash League, organized under Cricket Australia, is set to commence in Australia from December 7th. The tournament will feature a total of 44 matches, with the final scheduled for January 24, 2024. Perth Scorchers will defend their title in the tournament.

It’s worth noting that after withdrawing from the Australian tour due to injury, fast bowler Haris Rauf was at risk of being dropped from the central contract by the PCB, and there was uncertainty about his availability for the Big Bash League.
