Pakistan Triumphs Over India in Nidar-19 Asia Cup with a Chase Down of 260 – Pak vs Ind

In a thrilling Nidar-19 Asia Cup encounter at the Dubai Cricket Stadium, Pakistan secured a resounding victory over India, chasing down the target of 260 in just three overs. Pakistani batter Azan Ovais played a pivotal role in the triumph with an unbeaten 105-run inning, well-supported by Shahzaib Khan (63) and Saad Baig (68), making the pursuit seem effortless.

Saad Baig also remained unbeaten. Indian bowlers struggled against the Pakistani batsmen, with only Morgan Abhishek managing to take two wickets but conceding 55 runs.

Earlier, India had set a target of 259 runs, losing nine wickets in the prescribed 50 overs. Despite a strong start by openers, Arshin Kulkarni’s individual score of 24 and a guest appearance by Roder Patel with just one run put pressure on the team.

The third-wicket partnership between Adarsh Singh and Indian captain Ady Saharan added 94 runs, with Adarsh scoring 62 before getting out, while the captain remained prominent with 60 runs. Other players contributed, with Musher Khan scoring 2, Arvind Ovinash 11, Morgan Abhishek 4, and Raj Lambani 7 runs.

In the concluding overs, Sachin Das played an impactful inning, scoring 58 runs with 3 fours and 2 sixes.

On the bowling front, Muhammad Zeeshan took 4 wickets, while Obaid Shah and Ameer Hasan claimed 2 wickets each. Arafat Munhas secured 1 wicket.

Before the match, Pakistan’s captain Saad Baig won the toss and opted to field first, expressing determination to successfully chase the match and maintain the winning streak.

In response, Indian captain Ady Saharan expressed a desire to bat first after winning the toss to set a substantial target.

Both teams in

Group B have now clinched victories in one match each in the Nidar-19 Asia Cup.
