US Expresses Concern to India Over Plot to Kill Sikh Leader in Canada
According to international news agencies, the spokesperson for the US National Security, Jan Kirby, has clearly stated that the United States is closely monitoring the case of the assassination plot against Sikh leader Gruptaunt Singh Pannu in Canada and has raised concerns, calling for a transparent investigation.
The US spokesperson also mentioned that investigations are underway into the conspiracy to assassinate the Sikh leader on American soil, and the Indian leadership has been informed. Kirby further stated that the United States views the plot against Sikh leader Gruptaunt Singh with utmost seriousness, and action should be taken against those responsible.
According to Jan Kirby, the National Security Council’s spokesperson, it has been explicitly conveyed to India that the US is taking the conspiracy to kill Sikh leader Gruptaunt Singh Pannu very seriously. Action against the perpetrators should be initiated.
Kirby added that the Indian leadership has assured the United States that investigations are ongoing, and information on the matter will be shared soon.
It’s worth noting that a British newspaper had revealed that India had intended to assassinate Sikh leader Gruptaunt Singh Pannu in the United States. Following this, US intelligence thwarted the conspiracy, alerting India as well.
