Israel and Gaza Updats: Israel arrested the director of al-Shafa hospital in Gaza

Gaza: Israeli Forces Arrest Director of Al-Shifa Hospital Amidst Brutal Bombardment

According to Arab media reports, Israeli forces, responsible for the ruthless bombing of hospitals in Gaza, have arrested the director of Al-Shifa Hospital, Mohammad Abu Salema.

Doctors at Al-Shifa Hospital have stated that Israeli forces have detained Mohammad Abu Salema, the director of Al-Shifa Hospital. Israeli forces have previously carried out airstrikes on Al-Shifa Hospital, and in recent days, they have attacked the hospital with tanks, subjecting individuals inside the hospital to the worst forms of violence.

On the other hand, Israel has postponed the temporary ceasefire agreement with Hamas in Gaza. According to Israeli media reports, under the four-day truce agreed with Hamas, the exchange of Palestinian and Israeli prisoners was scheduled to take place starting today. However, Israel has delayed the implementation of the agreement.

Zachi Hanegbi, the adviser to Israel’s National Security, stated that no one imprisoned in Gaza will be released before Friday.

According to Israeli news claims, Hamas has not provided a list of prisoners released so far. There will be no complete ceasefire until a final agreement is reached on the release of prisoners.

Under the temporary ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel, Israel was supposed to release 150 Palestinian women and children, while Hamas was to release 50 Israeli women and children. The truce also includes the provision of humanitarian aid and fuel to Gaza.

It’s essential to note that Israel has been conducting sporadic hostilities with Hamas in Gaza. The recent escalation led to an exchange of prisoners between the two parties. The temporary agreement included provisions for humanitarian aid and fuel supply to Gaza.
