Islamabad: Lahore High Court Issues Contempt Notice to SSP Islamabad for Not Adhering to Judicial Order
Despite a court order, the Lahore High Court has taken notice of SSP Islamabad for not ensuring the safe arrival of Pervez Elahi to his protected residence. According to Express News, a contempt of court petition was heard in Lahore High Court regarding the failure to bring PTI President Pervez Elahi to his secure residence. The request was filed by Pervez Elahi’s wife, Kausar Elahi.
Justice Sultan Tanveer, issuing a contempt of court notice, directed SSP Islamabad to appear on December 18 either in person or through legal representation. The court has sought an explanation from SSP Islamabad for not implementing its directives.
