Indian soldiers committed suicide in Occupied Kashmir and Haryana

Srinagar: Tragic Incidents of Suicide Among Indian Soldiers in Occupied Kashmir and Haryana

In separate incidents in the occupied Kashmir district of Kishtwar and the state of Haryana, officers of the Indian army reportedly ended their lives by hanging during their duty.

According to Indian media, the first incident of suicide occurred in occupied Kashmir, where the lifeless body of Constable Manish Ranjan Das, a member of the paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his room.

Initial investigations suggest a suicide, but no suicide note was discovered. Further inquiries are ongoing, and after necessary formalities, the body was transferred to a mortuary in the area.

Similarly, in the state of Haryana, another officer of the Tibetan Border Force, identified as Karn Kumar, committed suicide by hanging from the roof of his room at an army base. The military officer’s name was Karn Kumar.

A statement from the spokesperson of the Indian army indicates that investigations into both suicide incidents are underway. If anyone is found responsible, strict action will be taken.

It is worth noting that incidents of suicide due to low morale and mental stress are unfortunately common within the Indian army. Multiple women officers have also tragically taken their own lives due to officers’ misconduct and sexual harassment, yet no officer has faced punishment in any investigations.”
