Gaza war can stop if Pakistan threatens Israel, Hamas chief

Doha: Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of Hamas, has stated that if Pakistan issues a threat to Israel, it could potentially halt the conflict in Gaza.

In a telephonic address to the Jerusalem Conference on the Sanctity of Al-Aqsa, organized by the Federation of Islamic Associations of Pakistan at the Jinnah Convention Center in Islamabad, Ismail Haniyeh stated that the greatest enemies of Muslims worldwide are the Jews. He asserted that in this ongoing conflict, twenty thousand of their children, both women and men, have sacrificed their lives.

Haniyeh emphasized that Pakistan is a formidable nation, and if it issues a threat to Israel, the war could come to a halt. He expressed hope that Pakistan would compel Israel to retreat. He stated, “We are currently destroying Israel’s latest weapons, and we hope to be successful in thwarting Israel’s unholy intentions.”

These remarks highlight the tension and conflict between certain Muslim leaders, like Ismail Haniyeh, and Israel, framing it as a struggle against perceived threats from Israel and emphasizing the sacrifice of Muslim lives in this context.
