Pune: A man was killed by his displeased wife with a knife over his decision not to take her to Dubai for her birthday celebration.
According to Indian media, Renuka, a 36-year-old resident of Pune, was unhappy that her husband, Nikhil Khanna, a 38-year-old businessman, did not take her to Dubai to celebrate her birthday. Bitter words were exchanged between the two over not receiving valuable gifts, and in response, Renuka struck her husband’s nose with intense anger.
The police reported that the blow was so severe that blood began to flow profusely from Nikhil Khanna’s nose. Upon receiving information about the incident, the police arrived at the scene and transferred Nikhil to the hospital, where doctors confirmed his death. The police filed a murder case against the woman and arrested her.
Nikhil and Renuka had a love marriage, and they had been married for six years.
