Ali Safina Criticizes Hit Drama “Tere Bin” as “Tere Dustbin” in Podcast Appearance
Popular Pakistani actor Ali Safina didn’t mince words when critiquing the widely successful drama “Tere Bin,” dubbing it “Tere Dustbin.” During an episode of the FHM podcast, Safina, currently featuring in dramas “Jaisay Aapki Marzi” and “Mannat Murad,” expressed his views on the show’s popularity and content.
While acknowledging “Tere Bin” as a massive hit, Safina criticized it as a “mindless story,” citing the creation of memes and mixed audience reactions. He urged for a higher standard in the Pakistani drama industry, highlighting issues like subpar scripts and unfavorable working conditions.
“We need to raise the bar,” Safina emphasized. “Being more selective about projects and demanding better working conditions is essential. We can’t keep producing dramas like ‘Tere Dustbin’ and expect to be taken seriously.”
Safina’s remarks have ignited a social media debate, with some agreeing with his critique, while others defend the drama. One user concurred, stating, “Ali Safina is spot on. ‘Tere Bin’ was a mess, full of clichés and bad acting.” Conversely, another user expressed enjoyment, saying, “I actually liked ‘Tere Bin.’ It was entertaining, and I thought Yumna Zaidi and Wahaj Ali were great in it.
