A Muslim woman was shot by the police in a police station in India, the video went viral

In Aligarh: within the state of Uttar Pradesh in India, a woman was shot by a police officer inside a police station. CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced.

According to Indian media, the incident occurred in Aligarh, where a 50-year-old woman named Ishrat was inside the Kotwali police station undergoing passport inquiry. She intended to go abroad for Umrah but was summoned to the police station by the police.

She arrived at the station with a relative, where Inspector Manoj Sharma fired a shot from his pistol, hitting the woman directly in the head, causing severe injuries. She was immediately transferred to Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital for urgent medical treatment, and her condition is reported to be critical.

The family of the woman alleges that the Indian police were demanding a bribe to issue the passport, and there was a heated exchange of words with the police at the station.

Inspector Manoj Sharma, implicated in the incident, has been suspended, and a case has been registered against him. However, he is currently on the run and has not been apprehended by the authorities so far.
