The day when you bear that testimony, no less than God Himself acknowledged your utterance as you vowed to submit your wholeself to Him. And, in your own volition you established a covenant to worship none other god but Him. You were prone to believe deep in you that as your God, you obey no one but Him, because He is the Most Merciful and the Most Beneficient God.
In your younger days, you did obey your parents when He told you to love them both as well as to take care of them when they reach the period of old age; you hardly travel far in your youthful age, for fear of incurring His anger of abandoning them.
